Royal Rajputana is an independent restaurant at 530 Roghan Road, Fitzgibbon, in Brisbane's north — serving Rajasthani BBQ to the surrounding suburbs of Taigum, Bracken Ridge, Boondall, Virginia and Bald Hills. It holds a 5-star food rating from Brisbane City Council, and offers dine-in, takeaway and catering.
The brief
An independent restaurant competing for attention against national chains and delivery-app listings needs one thing those platforms don't give it: a website that's actually theirs — one that can take a direct booking, show the real menu, and load properly on a phone in a car park deciding where to eat tonight.
What we built
- Online table reservations, so bookings don't depend on someone answering the phone during a dinner rush.
- Online ordering for takeaway, alongside the existing dine-in and catering options.
- A mobile-first menu and site, built around how people actually find a local restaurant — on a phone, in a hurry.
- Local trust signals up front — the Brisbane City Council 5-star rating, real hours, and a clear address, rather than buried in a footer.
Built without a single in-person meeting
Every part of this project — the brief, the design review, the menu content, the launch — happened over video calls and shared documents between Brisbane and Dhanbad. That's not a workaround; it's just what building a website looks like now, for a growing number of small businesses that care more about the result than about which city the developer sits in.
